Dear fellow students,
The weekend of Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 February, we go to FOSDEM!! (short for: Free and Open Source Software Developer’s European Meeting)
FOSDEM is a pretty big European conference in Brussels where lots of people from the open source community give talks about all new and upcoming stuff. The program and more information about FOSDEM can be found on their website: https://fosdem.org.
To get there, we go by train.
The train tickets will be paid by the University of Antwerp, so you don’t have to buy any!
(Keep in mind that we got a limited amount of sponsering, which means a limited amount of free tickets, so register fast(FIFO will be used)!).
The deadline for registering is Wednesday 29/01 !
On Saturday, we leave at 09:38 from Antwerp Central Station. (this means we’ll assemble at approx. 9:20)
For Sunday, the time will be discussed the day before as not everyone is willing to get up this early 2 days in a row. The exact time will be communicated to those who wish to join on Sunday.
Joachim Ganseman will be responsible for the distribution of the tickets! You can pick up your ticket at his office (CDE N119) this thursday and friday, in case you plan to go on your(different time or different start station).
If you want to come along, please fill in the form below. This way, we know how many people we can expect.
Best regards,
Daan Janssens
